VISY Pulp & Paper Upgrade Project
Visy is a global leader in all things packaging and recycling, and their Tumut Pulp & Paper facility is no exception. This world-class mill was built, and operates with the highest environmental and sustainability standards, producing over 600,000 tonnes of paper for domestic and international markets. Using sustainable softwood forestry in Southern NSW, and recycled paper collected from Australia’s Eastern States, this Tumut facility boasts one of the most sustainable paper outputs anywhere in the world.
As part of a major upgrade, Visy required a new 3-phase isolation 690V/415V 150kVA transformer. Easy done.
Southern Transformers designed and built this customer’s 3ph isolation transformer for VISY earlier this year.
